Indochinese Communist Party

The founding of the Vietnam Communist Party in Hong Kong in February 1930 was presided over by Ho Chi Minh. It was renamed the Indochinese Communist Party in October 1930. In an effort to obscure its communist affiliation, the party was officially dissolved in November 1945 and replaced by the Association for the study of Karl Marx. However, it was re-established in 1951 as the Vietnam Dang Lao Dong Party.
