Brown Water Navy
The “Brown Water Navy” was established by the U.S. Navy to interdict Communist troops and supplies on the muddy waterways of South Vietnam. It was comprised of:
Task Force 115 (Coastal Surveillance Force)
Task Force 116 (River Patrol Force)
Task Force 117 (Riverine Assault Force).
