FOB

Forward Operating Base – A permanent SOG camp used to house and train Reconnaissance Teams and Hatchet Forces. FOBs were opened during 1966 and 1967 at a number of locations in South Vietnam including Phu Bai, Kontum, Da Nang and Ban Me Thout. These camps were reorganized as CCN, CCC and CCS in 1968.
