Pink Rose
Project Pink Rose was a test program that aimed to destroy by fire enemy controlled jungle areas in South Vietnam. The areas were sprayed with defoliation agents by C-123
Ranch Hand aircraft before incendiary cluster bombs were dropped by B-52’s. Target areas in War Zone C and D, north of Saigon, were tested early in 1967, but the project was abandoned because the moist tropical forest failed to burn.
