USMC M1951 Combat Boots

The Marine Corps M1951 Boots were designed to replace the WWII ankle high Boondockers and were introduced during the Korean War. They were made from leather and, rather than standard eyelets, the upper part of the boots were equipped with lace hooks (speed lacing). The boots also featured a reinforced backstay, the top of which formed a loop. Production of the M1951 boots continued into the 1960’s and were worn by some Marines early in the Vietnam War.
