M1938 Map / Dispatch Case

The M1938 Dispatch Case was made from olive drab cotton duck and could be carried by its detachable shoulder strap. It featured two large pockets, several slots for writing instruments and also boasted a transparent plastic insert with gridlines to aid the reading of maps.
