Designed to be worn with the
P53 Utility Shirt, the Marine Corps P53 Utility trousers were made from sage green herringbone twill (HBT) cotton.
1 They featured two front pockets, a watch pocket and two hip pockets, the left one of which was secured with a single button. Replaced by the
P56 sateen utility uniform, the P53 trousers were very rarely worn in Vietnam.
