This shirt is made of cotton poplin rather than the standard utility uniform's heavier cotton sateen fabric. It has straight pocket flaps like the 1st pattern utility shirt but has concealed pocket buttons like the 3rd pattern tropical combat jacket. This design was trailed between 1969 and 1972. The insignia on this particular shirt has been directly embroidered.
