The 1956 Marine Corps Utility Trousers were identical to the
P53 design, but were made from OG-107 cotton sateen rather than herringbone twill (HBT). The P56 utility uniform was replaced with the Army's OG-107 utility uniform in 1964 and was consequently rarely worn in Vietnam.
